Infrastructure

1. IT Infrastructure
  • The College has a well-equipped computer lab, Cauvery, a new state- of-art Computer lab consisting of high-tech Interactive Panel, which can accommodate up to 28-30 delegates for imparting hands-on training to the participants during workshops and programmes.
  • The college also has two internet cafes attached to the two hostels i.e., Indrayani and Godavari.
  • •The facility can be availed by the participants of the training programme.
2. Fitness
  • With a view to provide a holistic experience to the participants and visitors to CAB, Pune, a spacious meditation-cum-yoga hall has been set up at Indrayani Hostel.
  • The College has a fully equipped gym near the lobby of the Godavari Hostel for the participants, employees of the Bank and their family members.
    • Located around the lotus pond is a reflexology path designed with white river rocks.
    • A walk along this footpath stimulates the feet’s reflex points and thereby aids enhanced blood circulation, greater digestion, better balance, pain relief and stress relief.
    • CAB has a sports & recreation centre with facilities for Badminton, Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Carom, Snooker, Table Tennis, Foosball, Cricket, Cycling, Jogging etc.
    3. Green Initiatives
    • The College has set up a Hydroponics Centre to provide experiential learning to the participants of training programmes on Agricultural Banking.
    • It will provide first-hand understanding to the participants about the concept of Hydroponics as a type of horticulture. It is a subset of hydroculture, which involves growing plants without soil, by using mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous solvent.
    • This would help bankers assess the credit requirements of such units over their life cycle which in turn will help in increasing the investment credit to Agriculture and allied activities.
    • The College has installed organic waste converter machine to convert organic waste such as vegetable waste, leaves, fruits and fruit skins, and flowers into valuable compost. The organic manure is utilized in the gardens of the campus.

    1. CAB Campus and Facilities

    CAB Campus is spread over seven acres of verdant green land in the heart of Pune city. The College has well-tended lawn and flower beds, which provide a calm environment for reflection, contemplation and discussion. The buildings, classrooms and auditorium of the College, have been named after various rivers of India. The building though, 54 years old had scored a high rating of 72 points and hence was awarded the coveted Platinum Rating by IGBC under existing building category.

    Originating from Japan, the Japanese rock garden, often called a Zen Garden, is a distinctive style of Japanese garden. The College houses a Zen Enclave complementing the natural beauty of the campus. It evokes feelings of tranquillity, calmness, and peace. It is also great for managing stress and has mental as well as psychological health benefits.

    • The College has beautiful fountains inside the campus. The lawn in front of “Suvarnarekha” (VIP Guest House) has been developed into a green area with a fountain carved out of natural stone along with glass wall and decking up the landscape with bonsai trees atop mounts and carpeted with lawn grass.

    • A modern underground aquarium has been developed near Mahanadi building with transparent glass flooring for view. It is also provided with colourful lights for a pleasant viewing in the evening.
    • A pyramidal structure near the entrance displays immortal words of Patanjali- “When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world.”

    CAB has a library that houses a collection of about 26,590 books covering areas of general banking, economics, planning, agriculture, agricultural economics, allied agricultural activities, management, finance, leadership, IT and other non-fictional & fictional books. It also subscribes to various national and international journals. The CAB Library is automated with an integrated library software package and modernized with the latest automation system that facilitates circulation of books. This technology offers a fast, easy and efficient way to track, locate and manage library materials. An E-Library has also been set up for trainees/ users for accessing different E-resources or doing project work.

    The College has a Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy Learning Centre which showcases the various initiatives and the available solutions in different forms in the field of financial literacy for the knowledge of public. It is visited by the participants of the courses, prominent national and international dignitaries and by school and college students from in and around Pune.

    • The College has a well-stocked dispensary with an experienced doctor.
    2. Class Rooms and Discussion Rooms
    • Christened after the rivers of India, CAB has three well equipped classrooms – Bhagirathi, Mandakini and Nandini with a seating capacity ranging from 25-30.
    • The “Mandakini” classroom is equipped with video-conferencing facility.
    • The College has two conference rooms – Iravati and Chenab with a seating capacity ranging from 30-35.
    • There are two other halls – Sutlej and Jahnavi for knowledge sharing sessions, audio visual inputs, etc. These learning spaces are well equipped with ergonomically done seating arrangement, podium, projectors for presentations, computers with internet connection, etc.
    • Four Discussion Rooms provide facility for discussions among break-out groups
    • The College has an auditorium, named Brahmaputra, for conferences and seminars which can accommodate up to 120 delegates.
    • Acoustically designed, this auditorium offers a venue for conferences and other cultural events. It can also be used in conjunction with the open space near the entrance of the venue which offers break out spaces.
    • The hall has an on stage screen and two LED screens on the side walls with projector and video conference facilities.
    3. Lodging and Boarding
    • The college has two hostels namely Indrayani and Godavari which can accommodate around 90 participants.
    • The hostel rooms are air conditioned, clean, hygienic and well maintained.
    • The lush green ambience on the outside and the broad & airy corridors, complement each other and help foster an ideal learning environment.
    • The college has two lounges with full service kitchen attached to the two hostels viz., Indrayani and Tungabhadra.
    • The lounge is decorated with vivid wall papers, ambient lighting and sound system to enhance the atmosphere.
