The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) celebrated its 90th anniversary today. To recognize this important milestone, an event was organised by the Reserve Bank of India today with the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu as the Chief Guest. Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Union Minister of Communications, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde and Shri Ajit Pawar also graced the event.

To mark the 90th year of its service to the nation, the Reserve Bank of India, hosted RBI@90 All India Public Sector Badminton Tournament at Bengaluru from January 02-05, 2025. The tournament was played across 7 formats: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Team & Women’s Team.

As part of the events to commemorate the 90th year of the Reserve Bank of India, a nationwide quiz for undergraduate college students named RBI90Quiz was launched on August 20, 2024. The quiz attracted widespread interest with participation of 1,58,206 students from 13,961 colleges, spread across 734 districts of the country. 

To mark the 90th year of its service to the nation, Reserve Bank of India, hosted RBI@90 51st All India Inter Institutional Table Tennis Tournament at Chandigarh from November 24-29, 2024. The tournament was organised in collaboration with Table Tennis Federation of India. Tournament was played across 7 formats: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Team & Women’s Team. In the team championship event, teams from 13 prestigious institutions participated comprising: Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), Railways Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD), Canara Bank, BSNL, Defence Accounts Sports Control Board, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Air Force and Central Revenue Sports Board. In Individual championship, total 330 individual players having experience of playing at International and National level including Olympians participated

As part of commemoration of the Reserve Bank of India’s 90th year since its establishment (RBI@90), a “High-Level Policy Conference of Central Banks from the Global South” was organised during November 21-22, 2024 in Mumbai. The theme of the conference was “Building Synergies” across the central banking fraternity of the Global South. This is the third international conference as part of several conferences and seminars being organised by the Reserve Bank of India during the year. The previous two international conferences on the themes ‘Digital Public Infrastructure and Emerging Technologies’ and Central Banking at Crossroads’ were organised in Bengaluru and New Delhi in the months of August and October 2024, respectively.
