State Level Bankers Committees – Nomination of Director of SISI

The Ministry of Small Scale Industries, Government of India has advised that Small Industries Services Institutes (SISIs) in States have been actively involved in the promotion/development of the SSI sector and officials of the SISIs with suitable personality traits have been identified to act as Cluster Development Agents and are involved in the process right from the stage of selection of clusters and therefore the participation of SISI officials in the deliberations of the SLBC would be of immense benefit in resolving issues relating to cluster development, and has desired that the Director of SISI be nominated as a member of SLBC in each State.

In view of the importance attached to cluster development for the growth of SSI sector by the Government, you are advised to invite the Director of Small Industries Service Institutes (SISIs) in future as member of the State Level Bankers Committees to attend SLBC meetings in the States in which your bank is the Convenor of the SLBC meeting and also discuss the cluster issue in the meetings.
