The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) met on 5th, 6th and 7th April, 2021 and deliberated on current and evolving macroeconomic and financial developments, both domestic and global. The MPC voted unanimously to leave the policy repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent. Resolution of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) April 5-7, 2021
On the basis of an assessment of the current and evolving macroeconomic situation, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at its meeting today (April 7, 2021) decided to: keep the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 4.0 per cent. Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the LAF remains unchanged at 3.35 per cent and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 4.25 per cent. On Tap Targeted Long-Term Repo Operations – Extension of Deadline
As announced in the Statement on Developmental and Regulatory Policies on April 07, 2021, the on Tap TLTRO Scheme, which was made available up to March 31, 2021, is now being further extended by a period of six months i.e., up to September 30, 2021 with a view to increasing the focus of liquidity measures on revival of activity in specific sectors. 2.
