Sovereign Gold Bond-Dematerialisation
The Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with the Government of India, has issued nine tranches of Sovereign Gold Bonds for a total value of ₹ 6030 crore till date. Tradability of Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2017 -18 - Series II
(Issued on July 28, 2017) Sovereign Gold Bonds, issued on July 28, 2017, held in dematerialised form, shall be eligible for trading (in terms of Para 17 of Government of India notification) with effect from August 8, 2017 (Tuesday) on stock exchanges recognised by the Government of India under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. In terms of GoI notification F. No. 4(20) – B/(W&M)/2017 and RBI circular IDMD.CDD.No.28/14.04.050/2017-18 dated July 06, 2017, the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2017-18 - Series II will be opened for subscription for the period from July 10, 2017 to July 14, 2017. Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2017-18 - Series II
The Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with Government of India, has decided to issue Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18 - Series II. Applications for the bond will be accepted from July 10-14, 2017. The Bonds will be issued on July 28, 2017. The Bonds will be sold through banks, Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), designated Post Offices, and recognised Stock Exchanges viz., National Stock Exchange of India Limited and Bombay Stock Exchange.
