જાહેરજનતા રૂપિયા 10 ના સિક્કાઓને કાયદેસરના ચલણ તરીકે સ્વીકારવાનું ચાલુ રાખી શકે છે: RBI

ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંક ભારત સરકાર દ્વારા છપાયેલા/ ટંકશાળ માં બનાવેલા સિક્કાઓને પરિભ્રમણ માં મૂકે છે. આ સિક્કાઓની અલગ વિશેષતાઓ હોય છે. જાહેરજનતા ની લેવડદેવડ ની જરૂરિયાત પૂરી કરવા સિક્કાઓ નવા મૂલ્યવર્ગ માં અને વિવિધ થીમ – આર્થિક, સામાજિક અને સાંસ્કૃતિક ને પ્રદર્શિત કરવા માટે સિક્કાઓ નવી ડીઝાઈનો માં સમય સમય પર શરૂ કરવા માં આવે છે. સિક્કાઓ પરિભ્રમણ માં (circulation) લાંબા સમય સુધી રહે છે તેથી એ શક્ય છે કે અલગ અલગ ડીઝાઈનો અને આકારના સિક્કાઓ એક જ સમયે સંચલન માં હોય. આવો એક ફેરફાર જુલાઈ 2011 માં સિક્કાઓમાં “રૂપિયા ના ચિન્હ” ની શરૂઆત છે. રૂપિયા 10 ના સિક્કાઓ રૂપિયાના ચિન્હ સાથે અને તે જ મૂલ્યવર્ગના સિક્કાઓ રૂપિયા ના ચિન્હ વગરના એ આનું એક ઉદાહરણ છે. તેઓ બંને કાયદેસરના ચલણ છે અને વ્યવહાર / લેવડદેવડ માટે સમાન રીતે યોગ્ય છે, જો કે તેઓ સહેજ જુદા દેખાતા હોઈ શકે.

એવા અહેવાલો છે કે કેટલાક ઓછા જાણકાર અથવા બિન માહિતગાર વ્યક્તિઓ કે જેઓ આવા સિક્કાઓની યથાર્થતા વિષે શંકા કરે છે; તેઓ, વેપારીઓ, દુકાનદારો વગેરે સહિત સામાન્ય લોકોના મનમાં શંકા ઉત્પન્ન કરે છે કે જેનાથી નિવાર્ય ગૂંચવણ ઊભી થવાથી દેશના કેટલાક ભાગોમાં આ સિક્કાઓના પરિભ્રમણ ને અવરોધે છે. ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેન્કે જાહેર જનતાને આવા ખોટી માહિતી વાળા ખ્યાલને માન્યતા ન આપવાની અને તેમને અવગણવાની અને કોઇપણ પ્રકારના ખચકાટ વગર આ સિક્કાઓનો તેમના બધાજ વ્યવહારોમાં કાયદેસરના ચલણ તરીકે સ્વીકારવાનું ચાલું રાખવાની સલાહ આપેલી છે.
