Formation of new district in Rajasthan –
Assignment of Lead Bank responsibility

The Revenue (Group-1) Department, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur vide their Gazette Notification No. P 9(17)RJ-1/07/3 dated January 25, 2008 have advised us about the formation of new district viz. Pratapgarh by carving out of the existing Chittorgarh, Banswara and Udaipur districts with its Head Quarter at Pratapgarh. The newly created Pratapgarh district shall cover Pratapgarh, Chhoti Sadri, Arnod, Pipalkhunt and Dhariavad talukas, whereas reconstituted Udaipur, Banswada and Chittorgarh districts shall consists of 10, 05 & 10 talukas respectively as indicated in the above Official Gazette Notification. The new district has come into existence with effect from January 26, 2008.

2. It has been decided to assign the Lead Bank responsibility of the new Pratapgarh district to Bank of Baroda.

3. There is no change in the lead bank responsibilities of other districts in the State.
