The Sovereign Gold Bonds issued on August 05, 2016 and held in dematerialised form shall be eligible for trading from Thursday, September 01, 2016 on the stock exchanges recognised by the Government of India under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. This is in terms of para 17 of the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2016-17 - Series I announced by the Government of India on July 14, 2016.
