All Regional Rural Banks

Dear Sir,

Inclusion in / exclusion from the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 – Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)

We advise that the names of 5 amalgamated Regional Rural Banks have been included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 by notification RPCD.CO.RRB.No.11377/ 03.05.100/ 2010-11 March 31, 2011 published in the Extraordinary Gazette of India (Part III- Sec.4) dated June 13, 2011.

2. Simultaneously, the names of 11 erstwhile Regional Rural Banks have been excluded from the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 by notification RPCD.CO.RRB.No.11379/ 03.05.100/ 2010-11 dated March 31, 2011 which was also published in the above-mentioned Extraordinary Gazette of India.

3. A copy each of the above two notifications RPCD.CO.RRB. No. 11377/ 03.05.100/ 2010-11 March 31, 2011 and RPCD.CO.RRB.No.11379/ 03.05.100/ 2010-11 dated March 31, 2011 (in Hindi & English), are enclosed.

4. Please acknowledge receipt to our Regional Office concerned.

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of clause (a) of sub section (6) of Section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs the inclusion in the Second Schedule to the said Act of the following Regional Rural Banks, namely:

1. Utkal Gramya Bank, Orissa.

2. Ballia- Etawah Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

3. Allahabad UP Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

4. Maharashtra Gramin Bank, Maharashtra.

5. J & K Grameen Bank, Jammu & Kashmir.

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of clause (b) of sub section (6) of Section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs exclusion from the Second Schedule to the said Act of the following Regional Rural Banks, namely:

1. Bolangir Anchalik Gramya Bank, Orissa.

2. Kalahandi Anchalika Gramya Bank, Orissa.

3. Koraput Panchabati Gramya Bank, Orissa.

4. Ballia Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

5. Etawah Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

6. Lucknow Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

7. Triveni Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Uttar Pradesh.

8. Marathwada Gramin Bank, Maharashtra.

9. Maharashtra Godavari Gramin Bank, Maharashtra.

10. Kamraz Rural Bank, Jammu & Kashmir.

11. Jammu Rural Bank, Jammu & Kashmir.
