4. The table gives the position of branches of Indian Banks as on March 31 and excludes the following: |
(a) 22 Offices in former East Pakistan before the formation of Bangladesh. |
The status of the properties of these offices, which were formerly vested with Custodian of Enemy Property, Pakistan, remains unchanged. |
$(b)17 offices which were in Pakistan were taken over by that Government as enemy property in September, 1965. |
5. Non-Scheduled banks have no office outside the Indian Union. |
6. During 1999-2000,one branch of Bank of Baroda in Mauritius was opened and its one branch in the United Kingdom was closed. |
