The Reserve Bank of India has sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation of The Yadagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd., Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Telangana with The Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd., Jagtial, Telangana. The Scheme has been sanctioned in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section (4) of Section 44A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. The Scheme will come into force with effect from June 10, 2024. The branches of The Yadagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd., Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (Telangana) will function as branches of The Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd., Jagtial (Telangana) with effect from June 10, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India, vide Directive: LKO.DOS.SED.No.S875/10-03-759/2022-23 dated March 09, 2023 issued under section 35A read with section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS), had placed the National Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd., Lucknow (U.P)  under Directions from the close of business on March 10, 2023. The validity of these Directions was extended time-to-time, last being up to June 10, 2024. 

The Reserve Bank of India issued Directions under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to The Imperial Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jalandhar vide Directive No. CDG.DOS.RSG.No.S1645/16-03-46/2022-23 dated March 9, 2023 for a period of six months up to close of business on September 10, 2023, as modified from time to time which were last extended up to close of business on June 10, 2024. The Reserve Bank of India is satisfied that in the public interest, it is necessary to further extend the period of operation of the Directive beyond close of business on June 10, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India, vide Directive LKO.DOS.SED.No.S850/10-03-030/2022-2023 dated March 02, 2023 had placed Banaras Merchantile Co-operative Bank Ltd., Varanasi (U.P) under Directions for the period of six months from the close of business on March 03, 2023. The validity of the directions has been extended from time-to-time, last being up to close of business on June 03, 2024. 

The Reserve Bank of India, vide Directive:LKO.DoS.SED.No.S-381/10.12.359/2023-24 dated August 28, 2023 issued under section 35A read with section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS), had placed the Purvanchal Co-operative Bank Ltd., Ghazipur (U.P) under Directions from the close of business on August 29, 2023. The validity of these Directions was extended time-to-time, last being up to May 29, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India had issued Directions to Ajantha Urban Co-operative Bank Maryadit, Aurangabad, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 vide Directive No. NGP.DoS.SSM 3.No.S675/15.03.302/2023-2024 dated August 28, 2023, for a period of six months up to the close of business on February 29, 2024, which were last extended up to the close of business on May 29, 2024 vide Directive DOR.MON.D-130/12.22.740/2023-24 dated February 23, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India issued Directions to Shankarrao Mohite Patil Sahakari Bank Ltd., Akluj, Maharashtra under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 vide Directive NGP.DOS.SSM 2.No.S1389/15-04-616/2022-2023 dated February 23, 2023, for a period of six months up to August 24, 2023 as modified from time to time which were last extended up to close of business on May 24, 2024 vide Directive DOR.MON/D-128/12.22.275/2023-24 dated February 15, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India issued Directions to Thodupuzha Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Kerala under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS), vide Directive No. CO.DOS.SED.No.S3361/12-07-005/2022-2023 dated August 23, 2022, from close of business on August 23, 2022, for a period of six months, which were extended from time to time, last being up to close of business on May 23, 2024, vide Directive No. DOR.MON.D-125/12.16.051/2023-24 dated February 14, 2024.

The Reserve Bank of India, vide Directive: LKO.DOS.SED.No.S842/10-12-133/2022-23 dated February 23, 2023 issued under section 35A read with section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS), had placed the HCBL Co-operative Bank Ltd., Lucknow (U.P) under Directions from the close of business on February 24, 2023. The validity of these Directions was extended time-to-time, last being up to May 24, 2024.
