RBI/2017-18/84 November 09, 2017 All Scheduled Commercial Banks Dear Sir/Madam, Cessation of “Commonwealth Bank of Australia” as a banking company within the meaning of sub –section (2) of Section 36 (A) of Banking Regulation Act, 1949 We advise that the “Commonwealth Bank of Australia” has ceased to be a banking company within the meaning of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 vide Notification DBR.IBD.No.2224/23.13.127/ 2017-18 dated September 05, 2017, and published in the Gazette of India (Part III - Section 4) dated October 28- November 03, 2017.
