The Reserve Bank of India, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 45-IA of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, has cancelled on November 13, 2003 the certificate of registration issued to Kalpavriksha Industries Ltd. (formerly Orchaltree Leasing & Financing Ltd.), Bombay Cotton Mill Compound, Dattaram Lad Path (Kalachowkly Road), Mumbai-400 033 subsequently changed its address to 703, Dharmanand Tower, Opp. Prabhat Cinema, Bhander Ali, Thane (W)-400 602 for carrying on the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution.

As such, the above company cannot transact the business of a non-banking financial institution as defined in Clause (a) of Section 45-I of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
