RBI places on its Website for Public Comments Report of the Working Group on BPLR
The Reserve Bank of India has today placed on its website the Report of the Working Group on Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR). Working Group on Benchmark Prime Lending Rate
It may be recalled that the Working Group on BPLR was constituted by the Reserve Bank of India on June 19, 2009 under the Chairmanship of Shri Deepak Mohanty, Executive Director to review the Benchmark Prime Lending Rate system. Tenure of RBI Working Group on BPLR extended
The Reserve Bank of India has today extended the tenure of the Working Group on Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) by one more month, from end-August 2009 to end-September 2009. The Reserve Bank had constituted the Group on June 19, 2009 under the Chairmanship of Shri Deepak Mohanty, Executive Director to review the BPLR system. RBI and 926 branches of Banks to accept Advance Income Tax
As many as 926 computerised branches of public and private sector banks will receive advance income tax in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These arrangements have been made for the convenience of the income tax assesses. Of the 926 bank branches 862 branches are public sector bank branches, 35 HDFC bank branches, 10 ICICI bank branches and 19 AXIS bank branches.
