The Reserve Bank of India today released 'A Profile of Banks : 2005-2006. The publication is an attempt to provide quick and handy access to data on scheduled commercial banks, excluding regional rural banks. The publication covers 18 important indicators, such as, business per employee, profit per employee, return assets, Capital to Risk Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) and net Non-Performing Assets (NPA) ratio. Data are presented in a bank-centric way with user-friendliness as the main objective. The publication contains bank-wise data for the years 2001-02 to 2005-06. For quick comparison with the peer group, the publication also provides averages at bank group level for 2005-06 and also at all banks' level for 2005-06.

This publication is the second volume in the series, the first volume being 'A Profile of Banks 2004-05'.

The publication is priced at Rs.90/- (normal) and Rs.120/- (inclusive of postage) for inland and US$55 (inclusive of courier charges) and US$20 (inclusive of registered airmail) for abroad.
