The Reserve Bank of India has appointed Shri G. R. Sundaravadivel, as Banking Ombudsman at Thiruvananthapuram from September 10, 2001. Before taking over as Banking Ombudsman, Shri Sundaravadivel was the Executive Director of United Bank of India.

As Banking Ombudsman, Shri Sundaravadivel would have his office at Reserve Bank of India Building, Thiruvananthapuram and his jurisdiction and authority would extend to complaints against branches and offices of banks located within the territorial limits of the State of Kerala and Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
