RBI signs MoU on “Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information” with the Central Bank of Kenya
The Reserve Bank of India signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information” with the Central Bank of Kenya on October 16, 2014. With this, the Reserve Bank has signed 22 such MoUs and one Letter for Supervisory Co-operation. The MoU was signed by Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u, Governor, Central Bank of Kenya and Dr. Raghuram Rajan, Governor, on behalf of the Reserve Bank of India. The signing ceremony was held at Hyderabad. Shri S.S. Mundra, Deputy Governor and Shri Chandan Sinha, Executive Director, were present on the occasion. The Reserve Bank has been signing the Memorandum of Understanding and Letter for Supervisory Co-operation with supervisors of other countries to promote greater co-operation and share supervisory information among the authorities.
