RBI to issue Rs.50 denomination bank notes with inset letter `E' in numbering panel in Mahatma Gandhi series bearing the signature of Dr.Y.V.Reddy, Governor
The Reserve Bank of India will shortly be issuing Rs.50 denomination bank notes with inset letter `E' in numbering panel in Mahatma Gandhi Series bearing the signature of Dr.Y.V. Reddy, Governor. Except for the change in inset letter, the design of these notes to be issued now is similar in all respects to those issued earlier in Mahatma Gandhi Series. RBI advises Banks to accept Coins by Weight
Members of public can now tender current and uncurrent coins at the counters of public and private sector banks as also at the Reserve Bank of India's counters.
