Cessation of LIBOR: Complete Transition
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued an advisory to banks and other RBI-regulated entities, emphasizing the need to take steps to ensure a complete transition away from the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) from July 01, 2023. Standing Liquidity Facility for Standalone Primary Dealers
On a review of current and evolving liquidity conditions, the Reserve Bank of India has decided that an additional amount of ₹5,000 crore will be made available under the Standing Liquidity Facility for standalone primary dealers on March 31, 2023 at the prevailing repo rate. Allotments will be made at the discretion of the Reserve Bank. The amount availed under the special arrangement will be repayable on or before April 5, 2023. (Yogesh Dayal) Chief General Manager
