Forex Markets in India: Some Thoughts
It gives me great pleasure to address this gathering of forex professionals from all over the country. Looking at the list of speakers from the central bank who have addressed this august assembly in the past, I find that you have opted for change by inviting the regulator/supervisor rather than the exchange rate policy maker and manager from RBI. Although I am not very certain as to why, may be the fact that I was on your side of the market till a few months ago migh

I am using this opportunity to share with you some explanations on the Monetary and Credit Policy for 2001-02 announced last week. This is the fifth Annual Policy of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) that I have been associated with, and soon after every one of the fine statements, I had publicly articulated some explanations. Changing Role of RBI: Agenda for Attention
Mr. Chairman and friends, I am grateful to the organisers of the Madon Memorial Lecture for inviting me to deliver this Lecture. That the contributions of Shri B.F. There are several reasons why I feel especially elated at my association with this lecture series. First, Ma
