Lending and Deposit Rates of Scheduled Commercial Banks - February 2023
Data on lending and deposit rates of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) (excluding regional rural banks and small finance banks) for the month of February 2023. Highlights: Lending Rates: The weighted average lending rate (WALR) on fresh rupee loans of SCBs increased by 12 basis points (bps) from 8.88 per cent in December 2022 to 9.00 per cent in January 2023. RBI releases ‘Draft Guidelines on Minimum Capital Requirements for Market Risk - under Basel III’
As part of convergence of the Reserve Bank’s regulations for banks with Basel III standards, the Reserve Bank of India has today placed on its website ‘Draft Guidelines for Minimum Capital Requirements for Market Risk’ for comments of stakeholders and members of the public. These guidelines shall be applicable to all Commercial Banks (excluding Local Area Banks, Payments Banks, Regional Rural Banks and Small Finance Banks) and shall come into effect from April 1, 2024

RBI statement on the health of Indian Banking sector

Action against SBM Bank (India) Ltd., under section 35 A and 36 (1) (a) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 - Partial Relaxation

RBI releases Discussion Paper on Securitisation of Stressed Assets Framework (SSAF)
