RBI announces Standing External Advisory Committee for evaluating Applications for Universal Banks and Small Finance Banks
The Reserve Bank of India today announced the names of the members of the Standing External Advisory Committee (SEAC) for evaluating applications for Universal Banks as well as Small Finance Banks. RBI imposes monetary penalty on State Bank of India
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has, by an order dated March 15, 2021, imposed a monetary penalty of ₹2 Crore (Rupees Two Crore only) on State Bank of India (the bank) for contravention of provisions of section 10 (1) (b) (ii) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (the Act) and specific directions of RBI issued to the bank on payment of remuneration to employees in the form of commission. Prompt Corrective Action Framework - IDBI Bank Limited
