The Reserve Bank of India announced today the designation of State Bank of India and ICICI Bank Ltd. as Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs). The Reserve Bank of India has appealed to income tax assessees to remit their income tax dues sufficiently in advance of the due date. It has also stated that assessees can use alternate channels like select branches of agency banks or the facility of online payment of taxes offered by these banks. RBI signs Special Currency Swap Agreement with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka
The Reserve Bank of India today signed a Special Currency Swap Agreement with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Under the arrangement, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka can draw upto US$ 1. 1 billion for a maximum period of six months. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka can make drawals of US Dollar or Euro in multiple tranches up to a maximum of US$ 400 million or its equivalent. Pay IT dues in advance at RBI or at authorised bank branches
The Reserve Bank of India has appealed to income tax assessees to remit their income tax dues sufficiently in advance of the due date. It has also stated that assessees can use alternate channels like select branches of agency banks or the facility of online payment of taxes offered by these banks. The Reserve Bank of India today announced the names of the members of the External Advisory Committee (EAC) for small finance banks as well as payments banks. The composition of EACs is: A. The Reserve Bank of India today released the names of applicants of small finance banks and payment banks, stating it received, in its Central Office, 72 applications for small finance banks (Annex I) and 41 applications for payments banks (Annex II). RBI signs MoU on “Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information” with Banco Central do Brasil
The Reserve Bank of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information” with Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) on December 26, 2014. With this the Reserve Bank has signed 23 such MoUs, one Letter for Supervisory Co-operation and one Statement of Co-operation with overseas regulators/supervisors.
