The Reserve Bank of India has on September 30, 2013 cancelled the certificate of registration (CoR) No. 05.01629 dated April 20, 1998, issued to M/s Bankebehari Trading & Investments Ltd. having its registered office at 11/1a, Chowringhee Terrace, Kolkata-700020 (as per Bank's record) and at 9/12, Lal Bazar Street, Block-E, 3rd Floor, Room No.11, P.S.Hare St., Kolkata-700001 (as per MCA website). Following cancellation of the registration certificate the company cannot transact the business of a non-banking financial institution.

By the powers conferred under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, the Reserve Bank can cancel the registration certificate of a non-banking financial company. The business of a non-banking financial institution is defined in clause (a) of Section 45-I of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
