The Reserve Bank of India has today stated that there is no dearth of coins of any denomination and the members of public should assert their right to get the appropriate change and should not accept other goods in return for the balance amount due to them. RBI to issue Rs. 10 denomination bank notes with inset letter `S' in both numbering panels in Mahatma Gandhi series with Dr.Y.V.Reddy's signature
The Reserve Bank of India will shortly be issuing Rs.10 denomination bank notes with inset letter `S' in both numbering panels in Mahatma Gandhi Series. These notes will bear the signature of Dr.Y.V.Reddy, Governor. Except for the change in inset letter, the design of these notes to be issued now is similar in all respect to those issued earlier in Mahatma Gandhi Series. All notes in the denomination of Rs.10 issued by the Reserve Bank will continue to be legal tender

Exchange Facility for Public in Corporation Bank, Mumbai
With a view to enlarging the exchange facility to the public, the Reserve Bank of India has made special arrangement for distribution of packets of Re.1, Rs.2 and Rs.5 notes and coins in Corporation Bank, Mumbai.
