Applications are hereby invited from Indian citizens who fulfill the eligibility criteria and who are residents of State of Maharashtra (Excluding Vidharbha Region), Goa and Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli for enlistment in the waitlist for the post of "Fireman" in Class IV cadre No. of Posts
* Note : The Bank reserves its right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill up the vacancies in the category as per its requirements. I. Eligibility Criteria The applicant must fulfill the following conditions. A) Educational Qualification Minimum : 1) Atleast 7th Std. pass from Government School or Government approved school. Maximum : Undergraduation from Govt. approved school/College/University within the recruitment zone i.e. from Maharashtra State (excluding Vidharbha Region), Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli 2) Candidate must have completed atleast 3 months Basic Fire Fighting Training from Government approved institute. B) Experience : Minimum 2 years working experience. Preference will be given who has Minimum 2 years working experience in Government/Semi-Government organization. C) Age Limit : As on 01.07.2013 : Between 18 and 25 year. Upper age limit is relaxable in the case of candidate, who are: i) Ex-Serviceman will be given age relaxation of 3 years over and above his Military service; subject to a upper age limit of 50 years ii) Upto 35 years of age for Widow/Legally divorced but not married again female candidate. iii) Upto 6 years for candidate whose services are retrenched who has worked atleast for 1 year in Banking Institute/Government Office and who has registered himself/herself in the Employment Exchange. iv) Upto 5 years for candidates who is displaced from Jammu and Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31-12-1989. II. Pay and allowances : Initial starting Pay of Rs.6350/- + ASP Rs.170/- per month + Other Allowances given from time to time in the scale of Rs. 6350-220-7320-260-8010-300-8910-400-9710-500-11710-680-13750 (20 Years). At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Fireman is\ approximately Rs.14800/-. III. Job Description : Inspection of Fire Fighting Equipments on regular intervals. In case of fire, should take necessary steps to control the fire. And to attend any other duties given by the Fire Officer from time to time. IV. Place of work : The vacancies are in the Bank's Offices in Mumbai(Western Zone). V. General Important Instructions : a) Graduate/Degree holders are not eligible to apply.(Candidate with higher educational qualification is not eligible to apply. b) Date of birth as recorded in the School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate/Certificate of Domicile/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation will be accepted as a proof of age. c) The Ex-servicemen, who have passed the qualifying examination from outside the recruitment zone , either before or after leaving military services are eligible. d) Orthopaedically handicapped/disabled persons will not be eligible. e) Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria does not entitle candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards, etc. in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview commensurate with the number of vacancies. The decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final. f) Employees appointed in the Bank on or after January 01, 2012 will be governed by the defined contribution "New Pension Scheme". VI. Definition of Ex-serviceman : "Ex-serviceman means a person, who has served in any rank (whether as a combatant or as a non-combatant) in the regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union but does not include a person who has served in the Defence Security Corps, the General Reserve Engineering Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the Para military forces and who has retired from such service after earning his/her pension or who has been released from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension, or who has been released, otherwise than on his own request from such service as a result of reduction in establishment, or who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been given a gratuity and includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following categories, namely : Pension holders for continuous embodied service;
VII. Recruitment Procedure The selection for recruitment will be done with the above eligibility criteria and conditions. They will be called for skill trial and Interview. Candidate selected will be empanelled in the waiting list. VIII. How to Apply

Ineligibility Before applying for the posts mentioned in the advertisement, the candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respect as mentioned in the advertisement on the date specified. Applications incomplete in any respect not accompanied by relevant documents/certificates and/or received late shall be rejected. Bank's decision in this regard shall be final. The Bank reserves the right to reject any application/candidature at any stage of the recruitment process without assigning any reason/s. X.
