Formation of new districts in the State of Arunachal Pradesh - Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility
RBI/2020-21/40 September 25, 2020 The Chairmen / Managing Directors & Chief Executive Officers Madam/ Dear Sir, Formation of new districts in the State of Arunachal Pradesh – The Government of Arunachal Pradesh vide Gazette Notification G.O. No.577 dated December 04, 2017 and G.O. No.433 dated October 05, 2018 had notified the formation of new districts in the State of Arunachal Pradesh and vide Gazette Notification G.O. No.DAD-25/2016 dated December 12, 2017, G.O. No.DAD-39/2014 dated December 05, 2018 and G.O. No.DAD-51/2017 dated December 05, 2018 notified the effective date of functioning of the new districts. It has been decided to assign the lead bank responsibility of the new districts as under:
2. Further, although the creation of district ‘Lower Siang’ is notified vide G.O. No.32 dated March 03, 2014 and the district ‘Leparada’ has been created vide G.O. No.433 dated October 05, 2018 by comprising some of the administrative units of Lower Siang district, the effective date of functioning of the district ‘Lower Siang’ has yet to be notified by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Lead Bank responsibility will hence be assigned for both Lower Siang and Leparada districts separately. 3. The District Working Codes of the new districts have also been allotted for the purpose of BSR reporting by banks. 4. There is no change in the lead bank responsibilities of the erstwhile districts and of other districts in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. Yours faithfully, (Gautam Prasad Borah) |
