The Reserve Bank of India today issued the Master Directions on Financial Services provided by Banks. The Master Directions issued today consolidate all relevant instructions issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) so far on the subject and will be applicable to all Scheduled Commercial Banks (excluding RRBs). The extant instructions have been rationalized and aligned, in keeping with the current regulatory framework for the banks, while deleting those that have become redundant over a period of time.
