The Reserve Bank of India will on September 20, 2001 make available coins up to Rs 800 to members of public at Union Bank of India, Karim Building, 56 Mohammed Ali Road, Mumbai-400 003. The coins worth Rs 800 will be available in `Potlas' of 100 pieces each of Re 1, Rs.2 and 5. The facility at this branch will be available to members of public between 11.30a.m. to 2.30p.m.

The Reserve Bank has extended this special facility as a part of its overall efforts to mitigate the hardship faced by members of public in obtaining coins.
