The GDP figures are based on new series with 1993-94 as base year. The figures for 1990-91 to 1992-93 have been interpolated by using an average link factor of 1.0878 obtained from the overlapping years from 1993-94 to 1996-97 for which both the old series and new series for the GDP at current market prices are available. |

The monetised deficit of State governments refers to Ways and Means Advances given to them by the RBI net of their deposits with the RBI. |

Additional Resource Mobilisation (ARM) has been tentatively placed at Rs.2,946 crore in 1999-2000 as per the budget speeches. These have been included in Revenue Receipts, in the absence of detailed break ups. |
