The Government of India will be issuing a set of five commemorative coins in the denominations of Re. 1, Rs. 2, Rs. 5, Rs. 10 and Rs. 75 to mark the occasion of Platinum Jubilee of Reserve Bank of India. RBI's Platinum Jubilee : Currency Notes of last 75 years on display
The Reserve Bank of India which started operations on April 1, 1935 is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year. To mark this occasion, the Reserve Bank has arranged an exhibition of all the banknotes issued since its inception. The exhibition is in the Reserve Bank's Monetary Museum and will remain open for public viewing till June 30, 2010. Entry to the exhibition is free.
