Reference is invited to the Tender Document for supply, installation and operationalisation of computer systems and implementation of corporate e-mail and workflow backbone in all the Regional Offices/locations of Reserve Bank of India. Discussions were held with the vendors in the pre-bid meeting held on 7^th June 2000 in Bank’s Central Office Building. The following additions and modifications in the Tender Document may be noted:

1. In Para 5.9 of the tender document, the sentence "Non-mention of deviations shall imply compliance to our specifications" may be added.
2. The centres listed in Annexure III will also have Pentium III Xeon Systems with dual processors, scalable to four processors and as such all offices/locations will have Pentium III Xeon systems with dual processors, scalable to 4 processors for the e-mail and workflow server as per the configurations specified in Annexure V of the Tender Document. Appropriate changes may be carried out in Paragraphs 3.2(iii), 4.0(ii), Annexures III, VI, IX and XII of the Tender Document.
3. The description for component "Motherboard" (Sl.No.3) in Annexure V may be changed to Intel 450 NX Chipset or equivalent, 4-way Symmetric Multiprocessing capable with 100 MHz FSB or above
4. The description for the component "CPU" (Sl.No.1) in Annexure VII may be changed to "1 x Intel Pentium III 600 MHz with 256 KB L2 ECC cache at 133 MHz FSB, scalable to 2 processors"
5. The description for the component "Ethernet cards" (Sl.No.15 in Annexure V and Sl.No.16 in Annexure VII) may be changed to "2 x 32 bit PCI 10/100 Mbps autosensing dual port NI Card"
6. The description for the component "Memory" (Sl.No.2 in Annexure V and VII) may be changed to "512 MB 133 MHz ECC EDORAM/SDRAM, expandable to 4 GB"
7. All the three systems to be installed in the 10 centres listed in Annexure III and 6 centres listed in Annexure II will be housed in a single rack (OEM) with a 4-port console switch. Hence, individual monitors, keyboards, mouse need not be quoted for each of the system and instead, the following components may be quoted for each of these centres:

1. 42U Rack
2. 4-port console switch
3. 15" Colour Monitor as per specification in Annexure V
4. Retractable Keyboard
5. Mouse
6. Side Panel Kit
7. Power Distribution Unit
8. Stabilising Kit
9. Monitor Shelf Kit

8. The systems to be procured in the six centres listed in Annexure IV will be of Tower Model
9. The vendors should quote for 3 years comprehensive on-site warranty for hardware and system software.

The vendors are requested to make note of the changes while submitting the sealed quotes.
