Dear Sir,

Please refer to our earlier circular RPCD.No.SP.BC.26/09.04.01/2001–2002 dated September 19, 2001 regarding the decision of the 11^th High Powered Committee on the PMRY that banks having less than 5 branches shall not be allocated targets under PMRY if total targets of all branches of a bank having less than 5 branches constitute 2% or less, of the total target of the state.

2. In view of the fact that large number of banks is having less than 5 branches and due to the geographical conditions of the state, it has since been decided by the Government of India to relax this condition for the state of Himachal Pradesh also. Hence, the banks having less than 5 branches in this state may participate in the implementation of the PMRY Scheme in the State of Himachal Pradesh and try to achieve the allocated targets under PMRY Scheme.

3.You may advise your Regional/Controlling offices in this regard.
