Distribution of Coins : RBI reaches out to Public
The Reserve Bank of India will on October 17, 2001 make available coins up to Rs.800 to members of public at the premises of Goregaon Merchants Association Office, 57 Rolex Shopping Centre (A wing), Keshav Gore Marg, (Station Road), Goregaon (West), Mumbai-400 064. The coins worth Rs.800 will be available in `Potlas' of 100 pieces each of Re.1, Rs.2, and Rs.5. This facility will be available to members of public between 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The Reserve Bank has extended this special facility as a part of its overall efforts to mitigate the hardship faced by members of public in obtaining coins.
