To facilitate government receipt and payment functions, vide press release dated March 24, 2017, all Agency Banks were advised to keep all their bank branches dealing with government business open on all days in the current financial year (including Saturday, Sunday and all holidays) and on April 1, 2017. However, on reconsideration, it has been decided that these branches need not be opened on April 1, 2017.
