Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs), issued on November 17, 2016, held in dematerialised form shall be eligible for trading (in terms of Para 17 of Government of India notification) with effect from December 9, 2016 (Friday) on stock exchanges recognised by the Government of India under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2016 -17 - Series III was announced by the Government of India on October 20, 2016.
