RBI releases “Draft Guidelines for ‘on tap’ Licensing of Small Finance Banks in the Private Sector”
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its Second Bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement, 2019-20 dated June 06, 2019 announced that it is proposed to issue Draft Guidelines for ‘on tap’ Licensing of Small Finance Banks. RBI Makes External Benchmark Based Interest Rate mandatory for certain categories of loans from October 1, 2019
The Reserve Bank of India has been examining the feasibility of mandating the use of external benchmark for determining interest rate on floating rate loans.
