Capital Small Finance Bank Ltd. commences Operations
The Reserve Bank of India has today notified that Capital Small Finance Bank Ltd. commenced its operations as a small finance bank (SFB) with effect from April 24, 2016. Comprehensive Master Directions on Interest Rates on Deposits and Advances
The Reserve Bank of India today issued the Master Directions (MD) on Interest Rates on Deposits and Advances. Additional subscription by RBI to the share capital of National Housing Bank
The Reserve Bank of India has contributed ₹1,000 crore towards the paid up capital of the National Housing Bank (NHB) on January 12, 2016, thereby increasing its shareholding in the NHB from ₹ 450 crore to ₹1,450 crore. RBI had provided for an amount of ₹1,000 crore during the accounting year 2014-15, specifically towards capital contribution to the NHB, which is its wholly owned subsidiary. RBI announces Marginal Cost of Funds Methodology for Interest Rate on Advances
The Reserve Bank of India today released the final guidelines on computing interest rates on advances based on the marginal cost of funds. The guidelines come into effect from April 1, 2016. Apart from helping improve the transmission of policy rates into the lending rates of banks, these measures are expected to improve transparency in the methodology followed by banks for determining interest rates on advances.
