Appointment of Director for IGIDR

Corrigendum

Please refer to the advertisement for Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), dated March 21, 2022. In order to increase the zone of consideration so as to receive applications from applicants with eminence and experience, and to progressively align qualifications with the University Grants Commission norms, it has been decided to relax the age criteria for the above post. The details are as follows-

As the Director of the Institute, and its principal academic and executive officer, the applicant should be an eminent scholar with proven track record of outstanding research and academic achievements, with the highest level of competence, integrity, and institutional commitment.

The applicant should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years of experience as Professor in a University or ten years of experience in a reputed research and / or academic administrative organisation with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership. The applicant should not be more than 65 years of age as on June 30, 2022.

An attractive compensation package will be offered commensurate with the industry standards. Applications / nominations along with a detailed curriculum vitae (in the prescribed format only), may be emailed or mailed to IGIDR Search Committee 2022, C/o Corporate Strategy & Budget Department, Central Office, Reserve Bank of India, Main Building, 2nd floor, Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg, Mumbai 400001 by 5:30 p.m. on June 30, 2022. The Search Committee set up for the purpose has the right to fill up the vacancy by invitation.

Those who have already applied need not apply again and their applications will be considered on the basis of the revised age criteria, if otherwise eligible.

Age: Age should be below 65 years on June 30, 2022.

It has come to the notice of Reserve Bank of India that some fraudsters falsely promising to offer job for the posts in the bank are sending Appointment letters through emails by using fake domains which do not belong to the Reserve Bank of India, but these could be deceptively similar involving use of words such as RBI, RESERVEBANK, etc.

It is hereby clarified that recruitments for various posts filled by the bank are advertised on our official website. Also, all details regarding recruitment e.g. Call letters, interview schedule, final result, etc., are published only on our official website https://opportunities.rbi.org.in. In view of this, the Reserve Bank of India cautions members of public to be aware of such fake Appointment letters issued by fraudsters promising job in the Bank. Any Advertisements/ Communication from other sources should be cross verified for authenticity from the website.
