Half Yearly Report on Management of Foreign Exchange Reserves - March 2014

The Reserve Bank of India has today released the half yearly report on management of foreign exchange reserves with reference to March, 2014.

The position of foreign exchange reserve as on June 30, 2014 is as under:

Foreign Exchange Reserves (i+ii+iii+iv)	316.13
i. Foreign Currency Assets (FCA)	289.32
ii. Gold	20.63
iii. Special Drawing Rights (SDR)	4.47
iv. Reserve Tranche Position (RTP)	1.71

It may be recalled that in February, 2004, the Reserve Bank had commenced a process of compiling half yearly reports and placing them in the domain for bringing about more transparency and also for enhancing the level of disclosure.
