A meeting of the High Level Coordination Committee on Financial Markets (HLCCFM) was held today at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mumbai. Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India chaired the meeting. Shri Ashok Chawla, Finance Secretary; Shri R. Gopalan, Secretary, Department of Financial Services,  Ministry of Finance, Government of India and Chairperson, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA); Dr. Kaushik Basu, Chief Economic Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Government of India; Shri C.B. Bhave, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI); Shri J. Hari Narayan, Chairman, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA); and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, RBI and SEBI attended the meeting.

The HLCCFM is a high level forum for interface among the financial sector regulators.

The HLCCFM reviewed the recommendations made by various Committees and market participants, measures taken so far for developing the corporate bond market and deliberated on the way forward.
