HLCC on Financial Markets meets
A meeting of the High Level Coordination Committee on Financial Markets (HLCCFM) was held today at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), New Delhi. Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India chaired the meeting. Shri Ashok Chawla, Finance Secretary; Shri R. Gopalan, Secretary, Department of Financial Services; Dr. Kaushik Basu, Chief Economic Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Government of India; Shri C.B. Bhave, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI); Shri J. Hari Narayan, Chairman, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA); Shri Yogesh Agarwal, Chairman, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA); and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, RBI, SEBI and PFRDA attended the meeting. The HLCCFM is a high level forum for interface among the financial sector regulators. The HLCCFM reviewed the developments in the financial markets and deliberated on, among others, issues relating to the development of corporate bond market, credit default swaps (CDS), trade reporting system for securitised instruments, and other inter-regulatory matters.
