Scheme of Amalgamation of IDBI Bank Ltd. with IDBI Ltd. to be effective from April 2, 2005

The scheme of amalgamation of the IDBI Bank Ltd. with IDBI Ltd., will come into effect from April 2, 2005. The Reserve Bank has sanctioned the scheme of amalgamation of these two banks in exercise of the powers contained in Sub-Section (4) of Section 44A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
