Reserve Bank Announces Second Targeted Long Term Repo Operation (TLTRO)
As announced in the Statement of Developmental and Regulatory Policies on March 27, 2020, the Reserve Bank will conduct TLTROs of up to three years tenor of appropriate sizes for a total amount of up to ₹ 1,00,000 crore. The first tranche of TLTRO for ₹ 25,000 crores was conducted on March 27, 2020. It has now been decided to conduct another TLTRO for ₹ 25,000 crore. The details of the operation are as under: Sl. RBI extends Fixed Rate Reverse Repo and MSF window
In view of the rapidly evolving financial conditions and taking into account the impact of disruptions caused by COVID-19, it has been decided as an interim measure to extend the window timings of Fixed Rate Reverse Repo and MSF operations to provide eligible market participants with greater flexibility in their liquidity management. RBI enhances auction amount for Repo auction of March 26, 2020 to ₹ 50,000 crores
The Reserve Bank had, vide its press release 2110/2019-2020, advanced the variable rate term repo auction of ₹ 25,000 crores from March 30, 2020 to March 26, 2020. In a partial modification to the above press release, it has been decided to enhance the amount of the auction scheduled for March 26, 2020, i.e., today to ₹ 50,000 crores from ₹ 25,000 crores.
