Sectoral Deployment of Bank Credit - January 2019 (Revised on March 08, 2019)
Data on sectoral deployment of bank credit collected from select 41 scheduled commercial banks, accounting for about 90 per cent of the total non-food credit deployed by all scheduled commercial banks, for the month of January 2019 are set out in Statements I and II. Highlights of the sectoral deployment of bank credit are given below: On a year-on-year (y-o-y) basis, non-food bank credit increased by 13.1 per cent in January 2019 as compared with an increase of 9.5 p

RBI launches the March 2019 Round of Inflation Expectations Survey of Households (IESH)
The Reserve Bank of India has been regularly conducting Inflation Expectations Survey of Households (IESH). The March 2019 round of the survey is now being launched. The survey aims at capturing subjective assessments on price movements and inflation, of 6,000 households, based on their individual consumption baskets, across 18 cities viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nag
