The following State Governments have offered to sell stock by way of auction, for an aggregate amount of ₹52,120 Crore (Face Value). With a view to providing greater convenience to taxpayers, it has been decided to keep the branches of Agency banks, dealing with Government business, open for transactions on March 31, 2025 (Monday-Public Holiday). In order to facilitate accounting of Government receipts and payments in the current financial year itself, necessary arrangements have also been made to conduct special clearing operations across the country. Special clearing will be conducted for government cheques on March 31, 2025 for which the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems (DPSS), RBI will issue necessary instructions.

In terms of GOI Notification F.No.4(16)-W&M/2016 dated February 23, 2017 (SGB 2016-17 Series IV - Issue date March 17, 2017) on Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, the Gold Bond shall be repayable on the expiration of eight years from the date of issue of the Gold Bonds. Accordingly, the final redemption date of the above tranche shall be March 17, 2025.
In terms of GOI Notification F.No.4(16)-W&M/2016 dated February 23, 2017 (SGB 2016-17 Series IV - Issue date March 17, 2017) on Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, the Gold Bond shall be repayable on the expiration of eight years from the date of issue of the Gold Bonds.
