Reserve Bank of India (RBI) deputy governor Subir Gokarn, who is in charge of monetary policymaking, has ruled out any central bank action immediately after the Union Budget on 26 February and ahead of RBI’s annual monetary policy review in April, unless there is a dramatic slowdown globally.
