Reserve Bank Announces Fourth Targeted Long Term Repo Operation (TLTRO)
As announced in the Statement of Developmental and Regulatory Policies on March 27, 2020, the Reserve Bank will conduct TLTROs of up to three-year tenor of appropriate sizes for a total amount of up to ₹ 1,00,000 crore. So far, TLTROs for ₹ 75,000 crore have been conducted in three tranches. It has now been decided to conduct the next TLTRO operation for ₹ 25,000 crore. The details of the operation are as under: Sl. RBI announces further measures for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic

Extension of realisation period of export proceeds Presently value of the goods or software exports made by the exporters is required to be realized fully and repatriated to the country within a period of 9 months from the date of exports. In view of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the time period for realization and repatriation of export proceeds for exports made up to or on July 31, 2020, has been extended to 15 months from the date of export. In view of the rapidly evolving financial conditions and taking into account the impact of disruptions caused by COVID-19, it has been decided as an interim measure to extend the window timings of Fixed Rate Reverse Repo and MSF operations to provide eligible market participants with greater flexibility in their liquidity management.
