Dear Sir,

Formation of new district in Haryana – Assignment of Lead Bank responsibility

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Haryana vide their Gazette Notification No.S.O.69/P.A.17/1887/S.5/2008 dated August 13, 2008 have advised about the formation of new district viz. Palwal carved out of the existing Faridabad and Mewat districts covering Hodal and Palwal Sub-Divisions of Faridabad and Hatheen Sub-Division of Mewat districts, with effect from the date of Notification (i.e. August 13, 2008).

2. It has been decided to assign the Lead Bank responsibility of the new Palwal district to Oriental Bank of Commerce.  The Lead Bank responsibility of existing Faridabad and Mewat districts will, however, continue to be with Syndicate Bank as hitherto.

3. There is no change in the lead bank responsibilities of other districts in the State.
