Reserve Bank proposes changes in Banking Ombudsman Scheme to include customer complaints relating to credit cards
The Reserve Bank has today released a draft Banking Ombudsman Scheme 2002 (as amended upto June 2005) for public comments. Banking Ombudsman Scheme 1995 - Highlights of its functioning so far
The Reserve Bank of India has published a report on review of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme 1995 for the period 1998-99 to 2001-02. According to this report, the number of complaints received during the periods 1999-2000, 2000-01 and 2001-02 stood at 4994, 5803 and 5907 respectively. Comparable figure for the year 1998-99 (April-March) was 6062. As compared to the complaints received during 1998-99, there is a decrease of 2.5 per cent during 2001-02. The maximum number
